Your reunion committee has planned a number of activities that will rekindle memories, renew old friendships, make you want to dance to classic '50's rock and roll, or just laugh out loud!
Friday October 5th
3:00-6:00 PM: Informal gathering at our hospitality suite at the Residence Inn, adjacent to The Manor, Prospect Ace, West Orange, NJ. A chance to meet and greet, light refreshments. No formal dinner this evening. We will provide a list of local dining options and contact info in advance of the reunion.
8:00 PM till ? Gather with friends at The Dome lounge at The Manor. This will be open to all VHS alums....who knows who will show up!
Saturday October 6th
We will use the Residence Inn as a gathering spot. Car pools will be available for those who need rides.
9:00 AM: Yoga at Verona Yoga Studio, at 546 Bloomfield Ave-$17 drop in fee. If interested, check with Suzan Filippi: Cell: [732] 996-9217
11:00 AM; Take a stroll around Verona Park, the boathouse...has a restaurant too! Photos on the stone bridge, walking trails, bocce court, paddle boats. Life is great!
2:30 PM: Verona HIgh football game. Not a home game but we play at Montclair Kimberly Academy...Van Brunt Field, 6 LLoyd Ave, Monclair, NJ 07042...10 minutes from the hotel....at corner of Bloomfield Ave and Lloyd Ave.
3:00 PM: Take a tour of Verona High School. Visit classrooms, the gym where you groaned in Phys. Ed...where you danced at the Junion Prom, the cafeteria, your old locker.
Other activities: Visit Eagle Rock Reservation....just across Pospect Ave. Plenty of walking paths, visit the new 9/11 Memorial overlooking Manhattan skyline. Weather permitting you will be able to see the Freedom Tower rising from Ground Zero.
Or....take a nap and prepare for the evening!
3:00 -6:00PM: Hospitality suite is open at the Residence Inn.
Saturday Night
7:00 -8:00 PM Gala cocktail party and reception at The Manor. We have reserved a private patio for this event. Expect some surprises!
8:00- Midnight: A great sit hown dinner is planned in The Minuet Room at The Manor. Cuisine at The Manor is first rate. Listen and dance to music by DJ Bob Rafanello, a local favorite...will play all the oldies...original artists...will take all requests.
Sunday October 7th
8:00 -10:00 AM: Breakfast at Residence Inn. Send off.
